Submitted by Luella McBride 1 6-oz box cherry jello
½ cup red hot candies
2 cups chopped apples or apple sauce
2 cups chopped celery (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Mix jello with water as directed on the box. To one of the cups of hot water, add the red hots and let them dissolve before adding to the jello. When slightly set, add apples, celery and nuts. Chill until firm. Cut with heart shaped cutter.
