Recipe by Luella McBride & Fern McBride Moncur
3 egg whites, beaten until stiff
½ cup water
1½ TB corn starch
6 TB sugar
Cook water, cornstarch and sugar until thick, stirring constantly. Add a pinch of salt and cool. Add beaten egg white. Place on top of a pie and bake at 350° or until lightly browned.
