This recipe is rumored to be better than Great Harvest’s recipe. But since I’ve never tried it from Great Harvest, I’ll just have to say it’s really, really yummy!
½ cup butter 1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar ½ tsp salt
2 eggs ½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup canned pumpkin ¼ tsp ginger
1¾ cups flour ¼ tsp ground cloves
1 tsp baking soda 1 cup chocolate chips
Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Add pumpkin, mix, and set aside. Sift together dry ingredients in separate bowl. Gradually add dry ingredients to creamy mixture. Beat until blended. Add chocolate chips. Grease loaf pan and add batter. Bake at 350° degrees for one hour for one loaf of bread, or 35-50 minutes for mini loaves.
